Is Swimwear Bali ethical?

If you’re looking to create an ethical, eco-friendly brand, adding sustainable recycled fabrics to your collection, then you have come to the right place!

We import our fabrics from Italy, such as Vita, blended with Xtra Life Lycra & ECONYL®, as well as REPREVE™ from the U.S.
Virtually all have been upcycled from salvaged ocean waste, such as reclaimed Nylon fishing nets & discarded plastic bottles, keeping our oceans much cleaner & biodiversity healthy.

When it comes to plain & printed fabrics, all of our dyes use eco-ink from Dystar in Germany & Hunstman in the U.S.
Our hygienic liners come in clear plastic and recycled paper, with all packaging produced from Cassava starch being 100% biodegradable.

All of our employees receive:

  • A wage of at least double the minimum with 13 months wages paid per year, with a one-time payment of two months to take a vacation.
  • Free medical insurance, including their spouse & up to 3 children, covering doctors’ fees, medications, and hospitalization.
  • A daily glass of freshly pressed juice and a hot cooked healthy meal, along with vitamin C, D, B, and E supplements every lunch break.
  • Overtime is optional, never mandatory, and paid from 1.5 and 3 times the hourly rate depending on the number of hours & days worked.
  • Working facilities are fully air-conditioned, on par with any western establishment.
  • We operate a profit-sharing scheme paid monthly on results eligible for all of our employees, rewarding high performers from the sample team to Q.C. & production staff.

Bali Street Mums

Every month we donate to Bali Street Mums, a local female-led charity, assisting in the rehabilitation of street children & mums who would otherwise survive by savaging from garbage dumps.

You may contact the organizer, Kim from N.Z., via her website or WhatsApp to learn more or donate directly.
